Our ‘Port & North Sea’ boat tour is an educational and adventurous boat tour of the ports of IJmuiden and — weather permitting — along the North Sea coast. The tour takes us past the fish market, rescue boats, fishing boats, the German WWII U-boat bunker and the nautical control tower.
The tour continues past Forteiland, the IJmuiden locks, Hoogovens and the piers, and finally reaching the great North Sea. If the weather is favourable, we will even sail onto the North Sea, in the direction of Zandvoort or Wijk aan Zee. During the tour, the skipper will explain what happens in the ports. The tour takes about one hour. When you return, everyone is presented with a certificate on behalf of Neptune.
From June to October we offer daily one-hour boat tours, which leave at 14.00 and 16.05 hours.
Due to the Corona virus, for the time being, a maximum of 40 passengers per trip has been set.
Tours will only go through if the boat is available and there is sufficient participation. You can book and pay your tickets through our booking calendar.
Tickets are € 12,- per person, but children up to 6 years old are free of charge (except for groups of children).
The boat departs and arrives at the berth at the “Dankzij Terminal” at the Sluisplein. This is located at the Sluisplein or the so-called “Kop van de haven” (Head of the port). The berth is near the fisherman’s monument (the man with the lantern). You can find a map on the contact page.
