A wide range of options
An adventurous tour to the ports and the North Sea
Come aboard for an educational and adventurous tour of the ports of IJmuiden, along the impressive Fort Island and — weather permitting — along the North Sea coast. During the tour, the skipper will explain what happens in the ports. Our boat has a cabin with a bar and an open sun deck. Disabled people are welcome as well.
An exploration of the locks
This tour with a duration of 1.5 to 2 hours starts with traversing one of the locks. After that, we will sail to the sea lock that is under construction. The next stop is past the Noordersluis (North lock) and part of the spillway, where the fresh/salt water barrier is being built. We continue past the backup gate of the Noordersluis, past the new sea lock, through the Middensluis (Middle lock) and ends at our berth.
Visit the impressive fortifications of Fort Island
Fort Island IJmuiden is a 19th century defensive structure and a Unesco world heritage site. During the Second World War it was part of the Atlantic Wall. On the public days mentioned below experienced guides will be happy to show you around this impressive fortifications. We offer two types of excursion to the Fort Island.
Longer boat tours with additional catering
For a longer tour with the Queen Emma, for example for a party, business meeting or reception, we offer some special packages. The packages vary in time, catering, route and price.
Partying on the water
Our passenger ship is very suitable for entertaining parties and special events. The ship is fully equipped for cruises and boat parties and offers a high performance power system for (live) music and other equipment.
